Status in Rother: Common, with numbers annually boosted by continental immigrants.

Habitat: This is a strongly mobile and migrant species that may be encountered in any location. Most adults are seen close to breeding areas, in gardens, allotments, and fields where brassica crops are grown, especially Cabbage and Brussels-sprout. They may congregate in large numbers in fields of Oil-seed Rape.

ID Tips: Black wing tips and dark markings distinguish this from the other whites.
