Submit a sightings report:

Butterfly Conservation - Sussex Branch

Use this form to let your fellow butterfly enthusiasts know what you’ve been up to and what species you’ve seen.

iRecordPlease remember that this website doesn’t formally record your sightings, if you wish to do that we recommend that you go to the iRecord website and enter the species that you have seen there.

By actually making a record of your sightings you will be making a valuable contribution to our understanding of butterfly (and moth) distribution and in so doing help with their conservation.

* Occasionally the Sussex County Recorder for Butterflies and Moths or the site moderator would like to be able to get in contact with you if you are reporting a particularly notable or unusual sighting in case more details would be of value, or if there is a question regarding your report. ONLY fill in the above field if you are happy to be contacted by the County Recorder or site moderator. Your email address will be held on our secure server and will NOT be displayed on the sightings page or used for any other purpose.
