Sussex Species Champions The Sussex Branch Species Champion Programme, established in 2007, aims to increase our knowledge and conservation effort for those species of butterfly and moth which are most threatened in the county. The Species list is selected by the Branch Committee, but members are welcome to nominate further suggestions. Results of these studies will help us to determine the most effective conservation activities for each of the key species. The Champions will then produce a brief annual summary of the year’s activity, and will oversee the Annual Report entry for that species. The Champions therefore welcome all records of the following species, including detailed observations and grid references. Please email champion at the usual address, @sussex-butterflies.org.uk.
