Butterfly sighting
Report Details
My second visit to Whitehawk Hill in the past few days, so many species to be seen, including, Wall Brown, Brown Hairstreak, Clouded Yellow and many Common Blues. Also loads of lovely Broadleaf Pea. If by chance you do visit, there’s already a small walkway to the specific Long-tailed Blue area and there really is no need to trample the pea there. Just please look where you put your feet. Anyway I managed to see at least 3 male Long-tailed Blues today, very happy indeed.

Thank you, Kirsty, for reminding everyone about the problems of trampling. Please everybody, do be thoughtful about this problem, and if there is someone next to you who is destroying the vegetation, do consider asking them to move back to an established path or walkway. Thank you everybody.  Martin K
