At eight thirty this morning I was "trousered" by a very fresh male Grayling on the chalk path at the top of Deep Dean. I didn't see any more despite searching for another two hours. Other butterflies seen included Clouded Yellow, Silver-spotted Skipper, Chalk Hill Blue, Small Blue, Adonis Blue and Wall Brown, Painted Lady, Red Admiral, Meadow Brown, various Whites and Small Heath.
