Butterfly sighting
Report Details
There were about 3 maybe 4 Long-tailed Blues in the usual place but rarely settling because of the presence of Common Blues. Unfortunately for Brian and Paul from Suffolk most of this activity was after they left about 1pm. Also Red Admiral, Painted Lady and Brown Argus plus a handsome wasp spider that Paul spotted.

I haven't personally gone to this location to see Long-tailed Blues, but from the reports I have read it seems that it is a bit "hit and miss" as to whether they are seen. I presume they must spend a lot of time in cover and well camouflaged. Perhaps the membership should look at other locations where they have been seen in previous years?   Martin K
