A big thankyou to all of you who sent in records of Orange-tip eggs, caterpillars and the adult butterfly this spring - and what a spring they had! It seems the lanes of Sussex were alive with Orange-tips this season and they flew from March 23rd right up until the last weeks of May. A lot of our members took part in some 'drive-by recording' noting down the Orange-tips seen on their travels and this helped us cover the North-west of the county and the under-recorded Manhood Peninsula.

Here's the map so far for 2010 and 2011. Impressive coverage for just two season's work! It looks like we're going to have to target the middle of the county and the far east next year. Thanks again for all your records.
