• Learnaboutbutterflies Packed with information and photos of all British butterflies, also an excellent and growing selection of species from Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ghana, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and elsewhere. The prime aim of the site is to promote conservation - particularly rainforest conservation. Also there is a lot of information about ecology, anatomy, survival strategies, migration, taxonomy and a whole lot more. Almost 400 pages and 1300 images so far, and growing!
• UKMoths  http://ukmoths.org.uk/  A fantastic site with thousands of pictures of moths
• National Moth Night Britain’s annual celebration of moths and moth recording. It is run jointly by Atropos and Butterfly Conservation .
• Check out Julie Horner's website showing her butterfly paintings available as limited edition prints. If you buy, then claim the donation for the Sussex branch of BC by quoting BC01 in any communication.
• Montgomeryshire Moth Group Moths and mothing in Montgomeryshire, a new site and although not being terribly locally based it is well worth visiting for its detailed information and high quality photography.
• Victoria Natural History Society's VNHS Invertebrate Alert A fascinating sightings page detailing invertebrate sightings in the southern Vancouver Island region of British Columbia, something of a "parallel universe" of Satyr Anglewings and Propertius Duskywings with an awful lot more besides.

• Northumberland Moths A guide to the moths of Northumberland, 1281 different species of moths have been recorded in Northumberland and new species are being discovered every year. This site provides access to the county database which holds 275353 records.
• Secret Nature This blog shows the highlights of my findings as an entomologist and naturalist living in West Sussex. Any views expressed are mine and not neccessarily those of others. My main areas of interest are invertebrates, birds, mammals and, more recently, the marine flora and fauna. I try to spend as much time as possible in the field and am passionate about conservation of the natural world.
